Sky

The sky was both beautiful and ominous this week in our area.  One day, it displayed a magnificent morning sight, and another day, it gave us a historic rainfall that was the equivalent of a 500 year flood.

In response to the WordPress Daily Post photo challenge today of “Sky,” I have chosen to share with you the amazing beauty of our morning sky with a single ray of sunshine peeking through the clouds earlier this week, which was the precursor of the storm to come.

Weekly Photo Challenge – On The Way

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “On the Way.”

“On the way” to Maui recently, I saw a truly beautiful sight from my airplane window as we flew into the sunset over the Pacific Ocean.  The colors were simply amazing as golden hour gently eased into view and the Belt of Venus appeared on the horizon in the distance.

Sometimes the journey is just as rewarding as reaching the destination, and it can certainly be more surprising.  What an unexpected treat to see this glorious sight as the sun bid us farewell “on the way” on the Saturday before Mother’s Day.
